Services
Four service lines, one relationship.
Engagements are scoped to your programs, locations, and current readiness. Every engagement is quoted as a fixed fee before any work begins. A discovery call is what produces that number, and it costs you nothing.
Service one
Full accreditation preparation
End-to-end guidance shepherding your organization from the decision to pursue accreditation through a successful survey. This is the engagement for organizations accrediting for the first time, adding programs to an existing accreditation, or recovering from a survey that did not go well.
What it includes. Standards interpretation for the programs you are accrediting, policy and procedure development, strategic and performance-improvement plan drafting, evidence assembly and file organization, staff and leadership coaching on what surveyors ask, and a mock review before the survey date.
How it is priced. A fixed project fee, scoped by program count, number of locations, and current readiness. Usually billed at milestones, or as a monthly retainer across the preparation period. You get the number in writing before you commit to anything.
Best for
- First-time accreditation with a survey date in the next 6–12 months
- Organizations without a full-time quality or compliance director
- New programs building a quality framework from nothing
- Providers under payer or state pressure to accredit
Engagements are limited so that each client gets real attention. Booking usually runs several weeks out.
Service two
Gap analysis
A structured assessment of your current conformance against the standards that apply to your programs. You receive a written report organized by standard section, with each finding rated by severity and effort, and a prioritized action plan sequenced so the long-lead items start first.
Many organizations use a gap analysis as a decision tool, to find out whether a survey date is realistic before committing to one. The report is yours to act on with or without further help.
How it is priced. A fixed fee based on the number of programs in scope. Available on-site or remote, anywhere.
Service three
Mock survey
A rehearsal conducted under survey conditions. Leadership and staff interviews, document and file review, and an exit conference, followed by a written report of what would be cited if the survey happened tomorrow.
The value is rarely the findings themselves. It is that your team practices being interviewed, discovers which files are hard to produce on demand, and walks into the real survey having already done it once, rehearsed by someone who conducts the real ones.
How it is priced. A fixed fee based on the size of the survey being rehearsed. On-site or remote, anywhere.
Service four
Document and template products
Ready-to-adopt, customizable documents you can purchase directly and adapt to your organization, covering strategic planning, accessibility, performance management, critical incidents, health and safety drills, technology, succession, and billing review. Each one is cross-referenced to specific standard numbers so a surveyor can follow the logic.
This is the lowest-cost way to work with this practice, and for organizations with capable internal staff it is sometimes all they need.
Ongoing
Maintenance retainer
Accreditation is a multi-year cycle with continuing conformance obligations, and most organizations lose ground in the quiet years between surveys. A retainer keeps someone who knows your file available for periodic check-ins, standards-update briefings, help with annual conformance reporting, and preparation for the next survey well before it becomes urgent.
How it is priced. A monthly retainer scoped to how much support you want between surveys. Occasional advisory work outside a retainer is billed hourly.
How engagements are scoped
Discovery call
Free, 20–30 minutes. Your programs, timeline, and what already exists.
Written proposal
A tiered proposal so you can choose the level of investment, whether diagnostic only, full preparation, or preparation plus ongoing support. Fixed fees, defined deliverables, no open-ended hourly billing.
Engagement agreement
Scope, fees, deliverables, and responsibilities in writing. A deposit or first installment begins the work.
On outcomes. This practice sells preparation and expertise, not a guaranteed accreditation decision. Those decisions rest solely with CARF International. What you are buying is a dramatically better-prepared organization walking into the survey.
